Laminated with special Re- printable film as well as the use of special thermal printer (figure 2), each card, either a smart card or RFID enabled card, in addition to card holder's name and membership ID on a traditional card, information such as loyalty points, balance, etc can now not only be updated internally, but also be re-printed (thru erasing cycle) with these new data and visually shown on the card.

Since it is erasable and re-printable, during each reuse cycle at the participating merchant counter, issuer's /or, co-branded advertisers can print on the card revenue generating/targeted messages such as personalized ads, discount coupons, new product releases,  just to name a few.

Can be used as a tool for incentive or database loyaltymarketing to promote cardholders visits to shops. It can befurther used as a “cash card”. And at the time,information on sales or new products can also be added. Co-branded stores such as Department Store can attract the cardholders by accepting points on the cards at purchasing without undergoing the painstaking efforts of IT system integration first.

Can be used as a membership card to convey personal information. The return due date, membership period or a free gift offer can be written directly on the card.

Can be used as an ID card or pass. Balance of the card can be viewed to held cardholders and administrator to manage the card. In manufacturing plants, WIP information can be printed and seen each time. Allowing fully automate work process but satisfy human need of seeing the information at the same time.
